Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Poor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Ricardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo Ricardo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick from Poor.
Ricardo looks gassed!
Poor is looking to clinch but Ricardo is avoiding it.
Poor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ricardo's waist but Ricardo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Poor off to one side.
Poor shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Poor is taking a breather. Ricardo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Poor stands up out of the half guard.
Poor looks to land a left hand but Ricardo moved out of range nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Poor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ricardo.
Horrible takedown by Poor or perhaps it was just good defense by Ricardo which made him look bad.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
