Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Redshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Knuckles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redshaw comes to the cage accompanied by Maksim - Flight of the Bumblebee. Knuckles has chosen St. Anger-Metallica as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redshaw throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Knuckles checks the leg kick nicely there.
Redshaw uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knuckles.
Knuckles throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Knuckles checks the leg kick.
Knuckles looks to throw the jab but Redshaw is out of range.
Knuckles lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Knuckles cracks a nice hook into Redshaw's ribs.
Redshaw uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knuckles.
Redshaw feints and then cracks Knuckles's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Knuckles down.
Redshaw fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Knuckles has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Knuckles takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Redshaw tried to score with a low kick but Knuckles checks it.

Redshaw pivots, looking for a leg kick but Knuckles is out of range and Redshaw settles back down.
Redshaw shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Knuckles as he jumps to the side.

Knuckles connects with a looping right hand.

Redshaw on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Redshaw walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Redshaw tries to work over Knuckles's front leg with a kick but Knuckles checks it.

Redshaw takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Knuckles misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Knuckles looks to land a combination but Redshaw avoids it well.
Knuckles displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Redshaw.

Redshaw has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Knuckles finds it's way round the side to connect with Redshaw's head.

A jab lands there for Knuckles.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Redshaw. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Knuckles throws a nice head kick!
Redshaw is rocked!
Knuckles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oh Redshaw is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Knuckles throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Redshaw will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Knuckles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Redshaw is working away from the top position though.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Redshaw throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Redshaw takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Knuckles tries to roll over but Redshaw keeps him under control.
Knuckles is trying to maintain the position but Redshaw is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Redshaw looks to land a strike but Knuckles avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
