Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Graham Polliver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Julian Gomez! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Polliver fails to land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Polliver looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Polliver throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Polliver throws a low kick but Gomez moves out of range easily. Gomez shoots in but Polliver avoids the takedown attempt easily. Gomez throws a head kick but Polliver moves out of range.
Gomez misses with a hook. Polliver displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gomez throws out the jab. Polliver misses with a hook. Gomez ducked under it nicely. Polliver throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Polliver motions for Gomez to come forward. Polliver throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Gomez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A nice combination there by Gomez.

Polliver moves in looking to clinch but Gomez pushes him off. Gomez avoids the body shot from Polliver.
Gomez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Polliver at a distance.
Gomez has a takedown stuffed.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Gomez misses the target. Polliver closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Polliver controlling from side mount. Gomez is looking for a sweep. Polliver is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Gomez pushes Polliver away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Polliver gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The referee asks Polliver politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Polliver prefers to stall for the moment though. Polliver tries to advance to mount but can't. Polliver in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Gomez is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Graham Polliver!
