Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Studebaker Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fat Hoos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Studebaker Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fat Hoos!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hoos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hawk somewhat.
Hawk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hoos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hoos darts in trying to clinch

and Hawk counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hoos's guard now.
Hawk trying to control but Hoos is working from the bottom.
Hawkis looking to pass into half guard but Hoos pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hoos is in guard.
Hoos tries to stand but Hawk is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoos is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hawk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hoos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hoos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Hoos shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Hawk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hawk has a closed guard, preventing Hoos from standing up.
Hawk not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hoos trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hawk's guard.

Hoos stands and steps away. Hawk gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hoos circles away from the clinch attempt
and Hoos counters with a two punch combo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hawk throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hoos was covering up waiting for the punch and Hawk finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hoos is adopting a defensive guard.

Hawk has gone for a leg lock! Hoos slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hawk's guard.
Hoos is looking to stand up but Hawk won't let him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hoos wants to get up but he can't break Hawk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hoos looks gassed!
Hawk throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Hawk is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Hoos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hawk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hoos has managed to get both his arms back between Hawk's legs - danger averted.

Hoos has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hawk to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hoos is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hawk pulls down on the head and he's put Hoos to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Studebaker Hawk!
