Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiger Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sagat has chosen Go To Sleep as his entrance music. Tiger Sagat will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tiger Sagat!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in and drives through. Sagat sprawls well.
Sagat looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Sagat looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Sagat scores with a jab to the head.
Silva looks for a takedown but Sagat sprawls well.
Silva shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva dives in and grabs Sagat's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sagat pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Sagat which made him look bad.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Sagat, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Sagat against the cage but Sagat circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sagat leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Sagat instigates a clinch.

Sagat's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A head kick misses from Sagat.
Sagat fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Sagat closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.
Silva tries a knee to the head but Sagat blocks it.
Sagat gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Silva.

Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Sagat pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sagat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
No joy there for Sagat, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silva fails to land the takedown.

Sagat moves into range and clinches up with Silva.
Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sagat pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Silva wants a takedown but no success here.
Sagat utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Sagat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Sagat darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.
Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Sagat shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sagat pulls his leg out and moves away.

Sagat drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva tries for a takedown. No joy.
Silva is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Sagat breaks from the clinch.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sagat pinned against the cage. Sagat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sagat gets a clinch.
Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sagat fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sagat gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Silva has Sagat pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sagat tumbling to the mat - Silva dives into Sagat's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sagat is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sagat has escaped and now he's on top!

Sagat stands up and waves to Silva to follow him.
Sagat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
Tiger Sagat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sagat gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Silva drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Silva as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Sagat screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Silva! Nice submission victory there!
