Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Severi Suhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and munzu vunzu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suhonen comes to the cage accompanied by Lentävä Kalakukko. munzu vunzu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Severi Suhonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, munzu vunzu!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suhonen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A combination from vunzu does no damage.
vunzu tries to bum rush Suhonen with a series of wild strikes but Suhonen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Suhonen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches vunzu napping and manages to drive through into side control!
vunzu wants to control but Suhonen postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
vunzu parries the strikes from Suhonen easily there. Suhonen is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable vunzu to escape.
vunzu manages to get back to half guard.
Suhonen is looking for a kimura but vunzu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Suhonen to get the leverage.
Suhonen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
vunzu is trying to control but can't.
Suhonen uses his free foot to push down on vunzu's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for vunzu.
vunzu is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Suhonen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. vunzu can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Suhonen looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Suhonen connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Suhonen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but vunzu manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Suhonen decides to stand back up.
A telegraphed right hand from Suhonen misses the target.
vunzu scores with a crisp jab that stopped Suhonen in his tracks.
vunzu loads up on a big right hand but Suhonen slips the punch.

Suhonen misses with a head kick.
Suhonen avoids the head kick by vunzu.
Suhonen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with vunzu but vunzu pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Good leg kick by Suhonen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
vunzu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and vunzu counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Suhonen is breathing heavily.
vunzu lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A head kick misses from vunzu.
munzu vunzu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Suhonen shoots for a takedown but vunzu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
vunzu moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
vunzu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Suhonen's calf.
Suhonen tries to move into range but vunzu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Suhonen throws a leg kick
and vunzu counters with a nice low kick that buckles Suhonen's knee momentarily.
vunzu cracks the inside of Suhonen's front leg.
Suhonen on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
vunzu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
munzu vunzu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Suhonen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
vunzu lands with an uppercut that bounces Suhonen off the cage and back into rage.
vunzu lands with a thumping leg kick.
vunzu jabs Suhonen right on the nose. Suhonen blinks but takes it well.
vunzu wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Suhonen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Suhonen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from vunzu.
vunzu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
vunzu has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
vunzu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
vunzu scores with a jab.
Suhonen misses with a body kick.
vunzu moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
munzu vunzu dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Suhonen tries to clinch up but vunzu circles away and keeps his distance.
Suhonen shoots in for a double leg but vunzu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
vunzu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
vunzu scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Suhonen throws a body punch but vunzu moves out of range.
Suhonen moves out of range of the strikes.
Suhonen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
vunzu pushes Suhonen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by vunzu.

vunzu stalling.
vunzu lands an elbow inside that Suhonen shrugs off.
The referee calls for vunzu to work.
vunzu throws an elbow but it's blocked.
vunzu has Suhonen pressed against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by munzu vunzu.
vunzu throws a sloppy head kick and Suhonen moves out of range easily.
Suhonen avoids the head kick by vunzu.
Suhonen tries to clinch up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
vunzu throws the left hand but Suhonen avoids the punch easily.
Suhonen closes the distance and clinches up with vunzu, looking for a takedown. Suhonen pushes vunzu against the cage but vunzu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Severi Suhonen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Suhonen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Suhonen doesn't manage to clinch there - vunzu circles away.
vunzu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Suhonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Suhonen walks into a straight right hand from vunzu.
vunzu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Suhonen is out of range and vunzu settles back down.
Suhonen shoots in and bounces vunzu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Suhonen lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Suhonen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Suhonen stands and throws vunzu's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Suhonen is working vunzu over with some ground and pound from side control.
Suhonen working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Suhonen works to advance to full mount. vunzu defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Suhonen takes vunzu's back.
Suhonen is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but vunzu won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Suhonen off his unconscious opponent!
