Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Kreuger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horus Mithra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kreuger comes to the cage accompanied by "I'm Your Boogie Man" by White Zombie. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mithra checks a leg kick.
Kreuger throws a push kick but Mithra slaps the foot to one side.
Kreuger fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mithra is out of range.
Kreuger misses with a series of wild punches.
Kreuger throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kreuger sizes up Mithra with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Freddy Kreuger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kreuger walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mithra checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Mithra connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

A telegraphed right hand from Kreuger misses the target.

and Mithra counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Kreuger uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mithra.
Mithra is looking to clinch but Kreuger is avoiding it.
Kreuger tries to score with a low kick but Mithra moves his leg out of the way.

Kreuger has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Freddy Kreuger has been cut.
Mithra tries to clinch but fails miserably
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kreuger slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A low kick from Kreuger is predictable there
and Mithra counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mithra misses with a straight right.
Kreuger throws out a leg kick but Mithra moves out of range and Kreuger only half commits.
Kreuger scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Mithra closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kreuger did well to prevent Mithra getting side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Freddy Kreuger will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mithra throws a hook to the side of Kreuger's head but Kreuger sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mithra looks to land a right hand but Kreuger moved out of range.

Kreuger has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Mithra uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kreuger.

Kreuger lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Oh Kreuger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mithra cracks Kreuger with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Kreuger falls to his knees and Mithra doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
