Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kaleb Aslan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buakaw Pramuk! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aslan closes the distance and clinches. Aslan lands a takedown into guard.
Aslan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aslan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Pramuk is trying to keep Aslan in close.
Aslan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Pramuk is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Aslan wants to pass the guard but Pramuk is keeping the position. Pramuk is trying to control the position but Aslan postures up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Buakaw Pramuk hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Aslan moves into the clinch. Pramuk drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Aslan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Aslan manages to pull guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aslan trying to control the position here. Pramuk wants to control from the top but Aslan keeps moving. Aslan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pramuk got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aslan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pramuk has managed to get both his arms back between Aslan's legs - danger averted. Aslan is adopting a defensive guard. Aslan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Pramuk drops back, looking for a kneebar! Aslan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Aslan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Aslan! Aslan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pramuk down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aslan working the ground and pound.
Pramuk is rocked! Aslan working the ground and pound from side control. Pramuk is still in real trouble! Can Aslan finish him? Aslan trying to control the action but Pramuk is working from the bottom. Pramuk seems a little lost for a moment, as Aslan dominates the positioning. Aslan is chipping away with strikes.
Aslan landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Aslan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pramuk down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Aslan cracks Pramuk with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Aslan immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Pramuk is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Aslan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaleb Aslan!
