PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mattl Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Bean told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mattl Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Bean!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evans closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bean quickly recovers to half guard.
Evans not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Evans is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bean is just riding it out for now. Evans eventually gives up the hold.

Evans takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
