The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn jabs Khan right on the nose. Khan blinks but takes it well.
Khan shoots for a takedown but Benn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Benn moves into range and connects with a jab.
Khan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Benn fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Benn throws a wild body kick that Khan sees coming a mile off.
Khan takes one to the chin there.
Khan shoots in but Benn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amir Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Benn swats away the attempt to clinch by Khan.
Nice straight punches there by Benn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Benn.
Benn throws a sloppy head kick and Khan moves out of range easily.

JP Benn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benn lunges at Khan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Khan's hand.
Benn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Khan fails with a takedown attempt.

Benn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A punch lands to the side of Khan 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Khan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Benn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Khan shoots in for a takedown but Benn shows good takedown defense.
Khan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Benn avoids it really well and circles away.
Benn connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Khan's hands.
Khan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Benn sprawls well. Benn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.

Benn scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Benn keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Khan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Benn was well out of range. Poor timing from Khan.
Benn lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Khan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Benn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Khan scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Amir Khan has been cut.
Khan shoots in for a takedown but Benn shows good takedown defense.
Oh Khan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Benn scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Benn drops Khan with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Khan! Benn dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
