Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kiyoshi Tanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward has chosen Everything in its right place- Radio Head as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward lands a head shot.
Ward shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ward misses with an uppercut. Tanabe saw that one coming.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ward is defended easily by Tanabe.
Tanabe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ward throws out a powerful jab.
Ward takes a swing at Tanabe's ribcage but misses.
Tanabe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ward.
Kiyoshi Tanabe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Ward.
Ward missing with a left hand there. Tanabe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ward shoots in looking for a takedown. Tanabe tries to sprawl out of it but Ward keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tanabe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lazy left from Ward finds it's target.
Ward fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tanabe manages to avoid it.

Ward looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ward shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ward loads up on a big right hand but Tanabe slips the punch.
Tanabe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ward.
Ward fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tanabe ducks under a wild hook from Ward.
Tanabe takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ward throws a big shot that misses.
Tanabe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ward thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ward passes Tanabe's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Tanabe avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ward.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ward uses his free foot to push down on Tanabe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tanabe.
Ward throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Ward postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tanabe looks a forlorn figure.
Ward misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ward working for a submission but Tanabe is keeping him at bay.
Ward is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tanabe to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tanabe shrugs it off.
