Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nikk Sturm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Fadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikk Sturm has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikk Sturm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Fadden!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fadden throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Sturm breaks the clinch.
Sturm fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sturm throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Fadden throws a series of punches but Sturm moves out of range.
Sturm walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fadden checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fadden.
Sturm misses with an attempted mid kick.
A jab-cross combination lands for Sturm and sends Fadden crashing to the mat! Sturm follows him down to the mat - Fadden regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Fadden is rocked!
Fadden is looking to escape.
Fadden is still in real trouble! Can Sturm finish him?
Fadden tries to roll over but Sturm keeps him under control.
Sturm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fadden on the ground.
Sturm wants to stand up but Fadden has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Fadden seems to have recovered his senses.
Fadden flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Sturm will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fadden missing with punches from the bottom.
Fadden is trying to get back to full guard.
Fadden is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Fadden shoots in and drives through. Sturm sprawls well.
Fadden shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sturm's guard.
Fadden looks gassed!
Fadden prevents Sturm from getting back to his feet.
Fadden works over Sturm with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fadden trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Fadden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sturm manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Fadden avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fadden takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fadden misses with a takedown attempt - Sturm sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nikk Sturm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Fadden.
Sturm throws a leg kick but Fadden moved away.
Fadden takes one to the chin there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sturm throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Sturm scores with a jab to the jaw.
Horrible takedown by Fadden or perhaps it was just good defense by Sturm which made him look bad.
A big right from Sturm misses.
Fadden misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sturm.
Nikk Sturm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sturm keeps the fight on the outside.
Whack! Fadden lands a heavy head kick that drops Sturm. The ref tackles Fadden to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Sturm was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). John Fadden!
