The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from B does no damage.
B throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mendonca's waist but Mendonca gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing B off to one side.
B tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mendonca paws at him with a jab and circles away.

B looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

B is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mendonca doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time B.
B is pressing down on Mendonca's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mendonca is holding on for now.

Mendonca kicks B off and gets back to his feet.
Whack! Mendonca lands a heavy head kick that drops B. The ref tackles Mendonca to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because B was done.
