Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yamapi Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Rader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan's entrance music is Ikenai Tayou. A fine choice. Rader comes into a darkened arena with his song building. His Own Fight Video kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Justin Rader has the eye of the tiger tonight.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Rader! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rader avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Chan throws a head kick that misses. Rader avoids the head kick by Chan.
Rader lands with a nice body punch. Chan throws a head kick but Rader moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Chan misses the target. Chan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Chan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Chan throws a right and a left that Rader avoids nicely. Chan throws a hook but Rader blocks it. Chan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Chan misses with a hook.

A head kick misses from Chan. Rader keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The fight stays on the outside here - Chan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Chan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Rader paws at him with a jab and circles away. The crowd cheers as Rader lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chan doesn't seem phased though. Rader works the jab nicely. Yamapi Chan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chan throws an overhand right that lands on Rader's shoulder, as Rader tries to avoid the shot. Chan throws a hook but Rader blocks it. Rader blocks a jab. Chan tries to clinch there but Rader circles away.
Rader scores with a nice strike. Chan throws a head kick but Rader moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big right from Chan misses. Chan dips to his left and cracks Rader with an uppercut! Rader missing with a left hand there. Chan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Chan throws a right hand that Rader ducks under and follows up with a left that Rader also avoids with ease. Rader with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chan to score with a decent uppercut. Chan takes the fight into the clinch. Rader softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Chan softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Chan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Rader backwards. Chan tries to break free but Rader pushes him back against the ropes. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Rader lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Chan or not. A head punch on the inside from Rader fails to land. Chan tries to break the clinch but Rader is controlling the position. A short uppercut from Rader. A hook to the body from Rader.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Chan is breathing heavily. Rader misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Rader moves out of range as Chan strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rader!
Chan fails with a takedown attempt. Chan misses with a looping right. Rader thows a body shot but no joy. Chan throws a lazy head kick and Rader moves into the clinch. Rader swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Chan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Chan moves to clinch but Rader breaks away and Rader counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chan won't be happy with that. Chan tries to control but Rader manages to take his back. Will Rader go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Rader lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rader is landing with strikes from the back. Chan defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Rader's arms. Rader softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Rader is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Rader gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Rader gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Rader apologises and we restart here on the feet.

and Rader cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Chan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chan displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rader on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Chan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rader moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Chan throws a hook but Rader blocks it. Chan lands with a straight right. Rader didn't see that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Rader dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Chan moves to clinch but Rader breaks away and Rader counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rader shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Chan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rader scores with a couple of nice shots. Rader seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Chan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rader thows a huge punch but Chan dodges it nicely.
Rader working Chan over with strikes. Rader trying to pass the guard but Chan defending well. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rader is trying to control. Chan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chan tries to get to full guard but Rader has control of the leg. Rader lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Chan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rader. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Chan gets full guard. Rader lands a couple of elbows. Rader postures up in Chan's guard and throws a big left but Chan blocks it. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Rader advances to half guard. Chan actively working from the bottom here. Rader lands with a punch from half guard. Rader working Chan over with strikes. Chan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Chan wants to sweep here but Rader controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rader distracts Chan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Rader preventing the sweep. Rader throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rader with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Rader stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rader won't allow Chan to sweep him here. Rader lands a couple of decent looking shots. Chan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rader defends it easily. Rader is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Chan controls Rader momentarily but Rader frees himself. Chan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rader advances to half guard. Rader thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chan's head. Rader slips a nice elbow through Chan's hands, connecting with Chan's forehead. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rader lands a nice short elbow. Chan tries to get to full guard but Rader has control of the leg. Chan trying to hold on to Rader's head to control him but Rader postures up.
Justin Rader has got the better of the ground game so far. Rader is trying to control the action in half guard but Chan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Justin Rader showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Chan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Justin Rader seems to be getting the better of the standup. Chan throws a right hand that Rader ducks under and follows up with a left that Rader also avoids with ease. Chan throws the left hand but Rader avoids the punch easily. Rader takes a shot right to the bread basket. Chan closes the distance looking to clinch and Rader counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Chan loads up on a big right hand but Rader slips the punch. Rader lands a jab. Chan throws a head kick that misses. Rader misses with a looping right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rader throws a shot from downtown. Chan moves away and avoids it. Chan misses with a head kick.
Chan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rader decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chan's guard. Chan working a defensive guard here.
Chan throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rader uses it to pass to side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rader working away. Chan is pushing Rader's head away, looking to escape. Rader manages to hold on to the position though. Chan gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Rader unloading with bombs! Rader lands a heavy elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rader dominating with strikes here. Rader trying to control but he's not successful this time. Chan tries to hold on but Rader postures up. Rader working the ground and pound effectively.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rader lands a heavy elbow. Rader is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Chan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rader swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Chan is now in Rader's guard. A big mistake from Rader there, giving up the dominant position! Chan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rader working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Chan has passed into half guard!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chan sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rader defending well though. Chan is looking to take a break and control but Rader is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rader is just riding it out for now. Chan eventually gives up the hold. Rader gets back to full guard.
Rader lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chan! Chan taking shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rader in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Chan manages to regain half guard. Good work. Yamapi Chan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chan wants to improve his position but Rader is controlling well.
Rader missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Rader slips a nice elbow through Chan's hands, connecting with Chan's forehead. Rader prevents Chan from improving his position. Rader wants to free his trapped foot but Chan is holding on for dear life with his legs. Chan actively working from the bottom here. And that's the end of the fight! Justin Rader comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rader has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
