Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Dudu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Bender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bender shoots in looking for a takedown. Dudu tries to sprawl out of it but Bender keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dudu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dudu takes a swing at Bender's ribcage but misses.
Dudu moves out of range as Bender throws a body kick.
Bender will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dudu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dudu throws a right and a left that Bender avoids nicely.

It looks like Seth Bender has been cut.
No joy there for Bender, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bender tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dudu wants to sweep but no luck.
Bender wants to control from the top but Dudu keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Seth Bender was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bender looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dudu explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Bender moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bender looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bender shoots for a takedown but Dudu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bender takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

A head kick misses from Dudu.
Dudu scoring well with a low kick there.
Dudu lands an overhand right.

Dudu dips to his left and cracks Bender with an uppercut!
Dudu lands a jab to the head.

A punch lands to the side of Bender 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bender feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dudu throws a shot to the body.
Bender tries to close the distance and clinch but Dudu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dudu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bender shoots in but no luck this time.
Dudu scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bender in his tracks.
Dudu throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bender's head.
Dudu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bender moves away.
Dudu lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dudu enables Bender to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dudu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bender content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Dudu has locked up a guillotine! Dudu's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Bender is holding on here and Dudu must be using up a lot of energy. Bender has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Dudu gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
