The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruent throws a sloppy head kick and Chance moves out of range easily.
No joy there for Chance, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chance tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ruent is able to avoid easily.
Chance is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chance tries to clinch up but Ruent circles away and keeps his distance.
Ruent thuds a left hand into Chance's body.
Chance stalks Ruent and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ruent's face. Ruent staggers backwards, shaken.
Ruent looks to land a combination but Chance avoids it well.
Chance tries to clinch there but Ruent circles away.
Rumor Chance seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruent connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chance momentarily.
Chance is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chance throws a combination that misses
and Ruent counters with a two punch combo.
Chance tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Ruent connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Ruent swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Chance.
Chance throws a series of punches but Ruent avoids them all with ease.

Chance throws a body kick that misses.
Chance tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ruent manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Chance tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Chance falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ruent makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Chance is breathing heavily.

Ruent throws a front kick aimed at Chance's knee but Chance avoids it well.
Chance avoids the body shot from Ruent.
Ruent shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chance pinned against the cage. Chance gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chance throws a sloppy head kick and Ruent moves out of range easily.
Chance looks to land a combination but Ruent avoids it well.
That kick from Ruent tenderised Chance's leg. Chance is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ruent tries to land a body kick
and Chance connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

No luck for Ruent with that takedown attempt.

and Ruent counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Ruent lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Chance takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ruent connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Chance counters with a head kick. That will keep Ruent thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Ruent throws a push kick but Chance slaps the foot to one side.
Ruent scores with a three punch combo!
Chance is rocked!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ruent fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chance sprawls well initially but Ruent persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Oh Chance is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ruent not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ruent takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Ruent is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chance has managed to free his arm - good work.
Chance seems to have got his legs back now.
Ruent not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ruent throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Ruent dominated that round.

Ruent drops Chance with a huge uppercut! Chance drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Ruent is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
