Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filho shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Takahashi pinned against the cage. Takahashi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Takahashi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Filho as he jumps to the side.
Takahashi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Filho sprawls well. Filho wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Takahashi gets slowly back to his feet.
Takahashi wants to clinch up but Filho keeps it at a distance.

Filho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takahashi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Takahashi wants to hold on but Filho pushes him away.
Takahashi bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Takahashi wanted to stand there but Filho had control of the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Takahashi postures up in Filho's guard and throws a big left but Filho blocks it.

Filho's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Eduardo Filho was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Filho throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Takahashi's waist but Takahashi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Filho off to one side.
Takahashi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Filho but Filho pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Takahashi is in a horrible position here. Filho smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Filho stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

and Filho holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Filho gets through Takahashi's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Takahashi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Filho walks away with a smile on his face. Takahashi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Takahashi tries a head kick but it misses.
Filho rushes Takahashi and presses him up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Takahashi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Filho as he avoids it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
