Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kivi Kasvo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akimichi Choji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kivi Kasvo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kivi Kasvo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Akimichi Choji!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choji shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kasvo as he avoids it easily.
Choji fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kasvo avoids it really well and circles away.
Choji shoots in looking for a takedown but Kasvo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Choji's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kivi Kasvo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akimichi Choji.
Kasvo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Choji.
No luck for Choji with that takedown attempt.
Choji looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kasvo is fending him off so far but Choji persists. Nope, Kasvo circles away and we're back to standing.
Choji dives in and grabs Kasvo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kasvo pushes down on Choji's head and hops out.
Kasvo scores with a jab to the body.
Choji looks gassed!
Kasvo is looking to clinch.

Kasvo rushes Choji and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kasvo breaks from the clinch.

Kasvo clinches.

Kasvo breaks the clinch.

Kasvo has managed to clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kasvo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Choji shoots for a double leg takedown but Kasvo sprawls well. He's pushed Choji's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kasvo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Choji has time to react.


It looks like Akimichi Choji has been cut.
Kasvo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Choji shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kasvo but Kasvo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kasvo wants to clinch up but Choji keeps it at a distance.
Kasvo throws a leg kick but Choji sees it coming and moves out of range.
Choji fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Choji.
Kasvo tries to clinch up.
Kasvo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Choji checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kasvo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Choji on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kasvo clinches.
Choji drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kasvo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kasvo tries to clinch up.
Kasvo throws a series of punches but Choji moves out of range.
Choji swats away the attempt to clinch by Kasvo.

Choji throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kasvo was covering up waiting for the punch and Choji finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kasvo is looking to stand up but Choji isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Choji throwing strikes but missing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Choji passes Kasvo's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Choji sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kasvo defending well though.
Choji trying to mount his opponent but Kasvo defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kasvo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Choji is looking to take a break and control but Kasvo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Choji passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kasvo!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Choji throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kasvo is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Kasvo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kasvo tries to get out of the position.
Choji is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Choji sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Kasvo is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Choji looking to secure an arm triangle but Kasvo defends it well.
Kasvo is bucking up trying to escape but Choji cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Choji trying to control but Kasvo is having none of it.

That's five minutes gone in the round.

Choji has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Kasvo is forced to tap!
