Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lukasz Sokolski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Neddles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lukasz Sokolski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Douglas Neddles! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sokolski avoids the head kick by Neddles.
Sokolski throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Neddles throws a head kick but Sokolski moves out of range.
Neddles misses with a series of wild punches.
Sokolski tries for a takedown but Neddles circles away easily and Neddles counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sokolski won't be happy with that. Neddles is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sokolski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Neddles working the head with strikes. Sokolski is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Neddles is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sokolski has escaped the position, nice work there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Neddles stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sokolski plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Sokolski tries to clinch there but Neddles circles away.
Neddles forces Sokolski back against the cage and clinches. Neddles prevents the takedown attempt.
Sokolski wants to break the clinch but can't.
Neddles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Neddles misses with a wild combination.
Neddles throws a nice outside leg kick. Sokolski doesn't succeed with the takedown and Neddles counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lukasz Sokolski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Neddles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sokolski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neddles drops an elbow to the side of Sokolski's head. Well, if Neddles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Sokolski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Neddles on the ground. Sokolski trying to control from the bottom.
Neddles has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sokolski is breathing heavily. Neddles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sokolski keeps working. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Neddles lands a nice short elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Neddles slows the pace down in half guard. Neddles has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sokolski defend it? Neddles steps over the head and cranks it - Sokolski is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Neddles!
