Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Efrain Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Prochenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Victor Prochenko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Efrain Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Prochenko!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a right hand that Prochenko ducks under and follows up with a left that Prochenko also avoids with ease.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A punch combination from Silva misses.
Prochenko moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Some wild striking there from Silva.
Prochenko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Efrain Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Prochenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Prochenko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Silva wants to control from the top but Prochenko keeps moving.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Prochenko is keeping the position.
Prochenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva prevents Prochenko from getting back to his feet.
Prochenko pulls Silva in to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Silva preventing the sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Prochenko has control of Silva's left arm, preventing Silva from doing any damage.
Prochenko wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Prochenko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Prochenko manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Prochenko's guard.
Silva trying to control but Prochenko is working from the bottom.
Prochenko has Silva pulled in close to control his posture.

Silva gets to his feet. Prochenko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Silva is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Silva takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Prochenko scores with a three punch combo!

Silva tries to keep at a distance but Prochenko has taken the fight into the clinch.

Prochenko breaks from the clinch.
Prochenko clobbers Silva with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Prochenko lands with a cross.


Silva is rocked!
Prochenko measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Silva! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Victor Prochenko!
