2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ian Havington! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter tries a head kick but it misses.
Carter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Carter tries to stand but Havington is controlling his head. Havington regains half guard. Havington makes his way to full guard, as Carter worked for a kimura.
Havington tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Havington lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carter! Havington is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Havington misses. Carter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Havington manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Carter slips a jab from Havington. Carter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Havington. Havington bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carter's guard. Havington stays in close to Carter's body and controls the position. Carter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carter tries to get out of the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Havington stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Havington loads up on a big right hand but Carter slips the punch. Carter closes the distance and clinches up with Havington, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes Havington against the cage but Havington circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Carter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Havington is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Let's hope that Havington has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Havington gets back to half guard.

A close round but Ian Havington will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Carter with a lazy takedown attempt and Havington counters with a nice double leg into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Havington engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

It looks like Dick Carter has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carter staying out of range there. Carter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Havington.

Ian Havington showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dick Carter's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Carter moves to clinch but Havington breaks away and Havington counters with a nice uppercut.

Havington stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Havington misses with an uppercut. Carter saw that one coming. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carter lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Havington backs up against the cage.
Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Havington. Dick Carter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
And that's the end of the fight! Ian Havington comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Havington has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
