The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liio uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lucas.
Lucas scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Liio misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lucas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Liio circles away quickly and effectively.
Lucas lands with a kick to the ribs.
Lucas throws a body kick that misses.
Lucas throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Lucas closes the distance and clinches.

Lucas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Liio tries to keep at a distance but Lucas has taken the fight into the clinch.

The crowd are getting on Lucas's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Lucas makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Lucas scores with a knee to the head.
Liio is trying to break the clinch but Lucas has him pressed against the cage.
Liio stalling in the clinch but Lucas improves position.

Lucas gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Liio regains guard.

Liio wants to get back to his feet but Lucas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Liio tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Lucas gets to his feet. Liio looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Liio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lucas's waist but Lucas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Liio off to one side.
Lucas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Liio shoots in but Lucas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leep Liio. That's going to take a lot out of him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lucas closes the distance and pushes Liio back into the cage.
Liio has had enough of the clinch but Lucas keeps him there for the moment.
Liio tries to pull guard but Lucas holds him up against the cage and eventually Liio drops back down to his feet.
Lucas lands a damaging elbow.
Lucas pushes Liio back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Lucas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Liio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lucas is fending him off so far but Liio persists. Nope, Lucas circles away and we're back to standing.
Lucas misses with a double jab.
Horrible takedown by Liio or perhaps it was just good defense by Lucas which made him look bad.

Liio on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kenneth Lucas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lucas lands a slapping body shot.
Liio is breathing heavily.
Liio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lucas's waist but Lucas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Liio off to one side.
Lucas scores with a jab. Liio acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Lucas throws a front kick that sends Liio stumbling back into the cage.
Lucas throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Liio stumbling backwards into the cage! Liio bounces back off the cage towards Lucas, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Lucas lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Lucas celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
