Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karrel Dlute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myers comes into the arena with Halloween-Rob Zombie blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Myers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Karrel Dlute! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myers fails with the takedown so Dlute counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Myers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dlute is one step ahead there. Myers working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dlute. Dlute takes a decent strike to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dlute with a nice head shot there. Dlute postures up.
Myers is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dlute is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dlute distracts Myers with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Dlute thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dlute throwing strikes but missing. Dlute drops back looking for a leg! Myers is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Myers manages to kick Dlute off! Dlute jumps back into Myers's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Myers looking for a sweep. Not yet Myers, not yet. Dlute controls from within his opponent's guard. Dlute lands a couple of decent looking shots. Dlute is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Dlute trying to control the position from guard on top but Myers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dlute working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Myers's head. Dlute showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Myers is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dlute postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Dlute postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Dlute trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Dlute controls from within his opponent's guard. Dlute has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dlute postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Myers is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dlute, into his guard. Dlute is pulling down on Myers's head to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Karrel Dlute. Myers has his takedown stuffed and Dlute counters with a nice double leg into side control. Myers won't be happy with that. Dlute lands a nice forearm strike. Dlute is chipping away with strikes.
Dlute lands an elbow. Dlute working the ground and pound from side control. Dlute working the body and head with strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Myers is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dlute's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Myers is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dlute scores with a couple of nice shots. Dlute trying to pass the guard but Myers defending well. Myers blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dlute.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dlute is trying to control. Myers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Myers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dlute lands with a punch from half guard. Dlute stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Dlute tries for a takedown but Myers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Myers has his takedown stuffed and Dlute decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Myers's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Myers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Myers is breathing heavily. Dlute stops Myers from standing up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dlute throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Dlute postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Myers is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dlute, into his guard. Myers wants to control from the top but Dlute keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karrel Dlute dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Dlute will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Myers throws a head kick that misses. Dlute fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dlute circles away from the clinch attempt so Dlute counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dlute's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Myers throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Myers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dlute trying to control but Myers is working from the bottom. Dlute throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Myers works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Karrel Dlute has got the better of the ground game so far. Dlute trying to control but Myers is working from the bottom. Myers wants to stand but Dlute is controlling the position. Dlute throws and elbow that misses. Myers uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dlute's guard. Nice move by Myers! Myers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Myers preventing the sweep. Dlute is controlling Myers's posture. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Dlute looking for a guillotine here but Myers defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Myers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Myers trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Dlute working for a triangle but Myers defends it easily.
Dlute is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Myers trying to control the position from guard on top but Dlute is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dlute bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Myers's guard. Myers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dlute! Dlute is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Myers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Dlute tries to hold on but Myers postures up. Dlute is squirming around, avoiding Myers's attempts to control the action. Myers jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dlute is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dlute and Myers has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Myers working away. Myers trying to control the position but Dlute is working away. Dlute wants to control but Myers postures up. Dlute gets back to half guard. Myers trying to pass the guard but Dlute defending well. Dlute is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karrel Dlute showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Crunch! Myers slams his shin into Dlute's torso. Myers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dlute counters with a single leg into guard. Myers didn't expect that. Myers has his foot on Dlute's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dlute works his way back into a safe position though. Dlute makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Dlute wants to control from the top but Myers keeps moving. Dlute working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Dlute is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dlute lands a couple of elbows. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Myers being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dlute throwing strikes but missing. Dlute trying to control but Myers is working from the bottom. Myers has momentary wrist control but Dlute slips an elbow through the middle. Dlute's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dlute working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dlute postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Dlute content to stall in guard here. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dlute with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Dlute lands a couple of elbows. Dlute postures up in Myers's guard and throws a big left but Myers blocks it. Dlute throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Myers works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Myers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dlute manages to get himself to full guard.
Dlute seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Myers thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dlute throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dlute is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Michael Myers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Myers drops back looking for a leg! Dlute is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dlute manages to kick Myers off! Myers jumps back into Dlute's guard. Dlute has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Karrel Dlute has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Myers looks to clinch and Dlute counters with a two punch combo. Dlute clinches up against the cage. Karrel Dlute is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Myers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dlute scores with a jab to the body. Myers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Myers misses with a takedown attempt so Dlute counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dlute scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Dlute is stalling in the full guard. Myers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that's the end of the fight! Karrel Dlute comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dlute has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
