Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Austin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gilbert Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping leg kick lands for Hernandez.
Austin Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hernandez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hernandez counters with a one-two to the body. Johnson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hernandez. That one must have hurt. Johnson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hernandez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard. Hernandez stands up from Johnson's guard - Hernandez perhaps looking for a knockout. This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson throws a combination that misses and Hernandez counters with a stiff right hand. Johnson throws a combination that misses and Hernandez finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Hernandez on that attempt. Hernandez is looking to clinch. Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hernandez counters with a takedown into side control. Hernandez is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hernandez misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez tries to advance position but instead Johnson slips a leg back in to half guard. Hernandez trying to control from half guard but Johnson is working away. Hernandez not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hernandez stalling away here and it's allowed Johnson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Hernandez trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hernandez throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to pass the guard but Hernandez is keeping the position. Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Hernandez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard. Hernandez wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hernandez stands and steps away. Johnson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Hernandez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Johnson misses with a combination
and Hernandez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard. Hernandez wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson has his foot on Hernandez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hernandez works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Hernandez counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Johnson is lucky that one didn't land flush. Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hernandez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gilbert Hernandez has got the better of the ground game so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hernandez wants to stand but Johnson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Johnson wants to control but Hernandez is keeping busy.
Hernandez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez is trying to control. Johnson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hernandez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Well, if Hernandez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gilbert Hernandez was stalling too much, according to the referee. Hernandez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Johnson misses with a double jab
and Hernandez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that. Hernandez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Johnson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hernandez but great work by Johnson. Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hernandez is trying to get back to half guard. Johnson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hernandez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hernandez wants to control but Johnson postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hernandez has escaped the position, nice work there. Hernandez can't do much from the bottom here. Hernandez holding on. Johnson advances to full mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hernandez is now in Johnson's guard. A big mistake from Johnson there, giving up the dominant position! Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hernandez's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gilbert Hernandez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hernandez tries to stand but Johnson is controlling his head. Hernandez wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. Johnson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hernandez wants to stand but Johnson has his arm trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hernandez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Johnson is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hernandez wants to control for a moment but Johnson uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Hernandez is trying to control. Johnson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hernandez is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hernandez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnson is just riding it out for now. Hernandez eventually gives up the hold. Hernandez decides to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hernandez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Johnson! Hernandez content just to control the position here. Johnson regains half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Gilbert Hernandez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hernandez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
