Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Tamad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Magnusson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnusson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Animal by Disturbed. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Erik Magnusson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juan Tamad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Erik Magnusson! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Magnusson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tamad counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Magnusson keeping hold of Tamad's head, controlling as best he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Magnusson tries to get to full guard but Tamad has control of the leg. Magnusson wants to control but Tamad is keeping busy.
Magnusson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tamad looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tamad passes to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Magnusson is trying to stand up. Tamad trying to control but Magnusson is having none of it. Tamad working for a guillotine from mount but Magnusson is in no mood to give up. Tamad works his way to his opponent's back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Magnusson is trying to get back to his feet but Tamad has full control of the position and if anything, Magnusson has just worked his way into a worse spot. Will Tamad go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Tamad not allowing Magnusson to control his hands. A bit of a pause in the action here. Tamad controlling the positon. Magnusson looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Tamad slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Magnusson has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Tamad is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Magnusson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Magnusson for a finish. You can see the frustration on Magnusson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Tamad has good solid back control here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tamad looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Magnusson taps!
