Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Stroker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taylor Norton! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stroker lands with a right hand. Norton pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Norton misses the body punch and Stroker counters with a low kick, right behind Norton 's knee. Norton fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Norton connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Norton misses with a body punch
and Stroker counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Norton listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Norton throws a series of punches but Stroker moves out of range. Stroker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Norton is able to avoid easily. A head kick by Stroker misses and Norton counters with a stiff right hand. Norton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stroker.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stroker, right into the meat.
Norton lands a right hook to the body.
Stroker takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Norton throws a series of punches but Stroker avoids them all with ease. Stroker tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stroker, right into the meat.
Stroker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Norton misses with a wild body shot. Stroker shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. A looping hook to the body misses from Norton. Stroker does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Norton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A decent looking cross lands there for Norton. Norton throws a series of punches but Stroker avoids them all with ease. Stroker scores with a body shot.
That kick from Stroker tenderised Norton's leg. Norton is trying to keep his angry face on. Stroker takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Stroker throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Norton counters with a lovely straight right hand! Stroker throws a leg kick but Norton checks it. Stroker avoids the body shot from Norton.
Stroker tries to clinch and Norton counters with a nice uppercut. Norton connects with a single shot there. Norton misses with a series of wild punches.
Norton just misses with a punch to the body.
Norton takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Stroker tries a head kick but it misses.
Norton misses with a jab to the body
and Stroker counters with a thumping low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stroker ducks under a wild hook from Norton. A chopping leg kick lands by Stroker. Norton is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Stroker rather than just go for the knockout. Norton looks to land a right hand but Stroker moved out of range. Stroker clinches with his opponent.
Norton prevents Stroker from breaking the clinch. Norton tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Stroker's elbow. A head punch blocked on the inside by Stroker. Norton lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Stroker with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Stroker wants to stall.
Stroker decides to pull guard. Stroker wants to sweep here but Norton controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Norton working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Norton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stroker is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stroker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Stroker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Norton trying to control but Stroker is working from the bottom. Norton slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Taylor Norton was stalling too much, according to the referee. Norton circles away from the clinch attempt and Norton counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stroker thinking. Norton thumps Stroker with a low kick. Norton just misses with a punch to the body.
Stroker dodges the punch combination from Norton.
Stroker moves out of range of the body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Norton listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Norton goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Bob Stroker has been cut. Stroker takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Norton looks to throw the jab but Stroker is out of range. Norton connects with a body shot. Stroker throws a lazy head kick and Norton makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stroker is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Norton swings for the body but Stroker moves out of range.
Norton throws a poor cross that misses
and Stroker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Norton jabbing away but nothing is landing. Stroker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Some bone on bone action there as Norton checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Norton looks to land a combination but Stroker avoids it well. Norton throws a sloppy head kick and Stroker moves out of range easily. Stroker tries to land a leg kick but Norton saw it coming and moves away.
An inside leg kick from Norton misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taylor Norton dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bob Stroker's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Stroker thows a leg kick but Norton checks it and Norton counters with a nice body shot. Stroker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Norton swats him away and circles back towards the center. Norton misses with a wild body shot. Stroker clinches with his opponent.
Norton lands with a left to the head. Norton lands a body punch. Norton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stroker on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The fighters circle momentarily. Norton darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Norton misses with a straight right. Norton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Norton checks a leg kick. Norton lunges at Stroker with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Stroker's hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This has been an exciting period of action! Stroker throws a sloppy head kick and Norton moves out of range easily. Stroker turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Stroker wants to clinch but Norton slips to the side and Norton counters with a left to the body. Norton lands with a good body shot. Norton lands with a straight right. Stroker didn't see that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stroker takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Norton misses with a wild body shot. Norton fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Taylor Norton seems to be getting the better of the standup. Norton bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stroker's head. Stroker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A nice leg kick lands there from Norton. Norton misses the shot to the body. Norton looks for the body kick but Stroker saw that one coming. Norton lands a head kick!

Norton loads up on a big right hand but Stroker slips the punch. Stroker misses with a leg kick and Norton counters with a stiff right hand. Norton lands with a shot to the body. Norton lands a really nice looking cross but Stroker seems unphased.
Bob Stroker's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Norton lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stroker at a distance.
Nice jab there from Norton. Norton throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Norton wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Stroker tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Norton takes a swing at Stroker's ribcage but misses. A right-left combo lands from Norton. Norton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stroker takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jeez, Bob Stroker's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Norton takes a swing at Stroker's ribcage but misses. Norton throws a low kick, looking for Stroker's leg but Stroker calmly moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Norton misses the shot to the body. Norton thows a body shot but no joy. Norton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stroker moves away. Norton misses with a body shot.
Stroker walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Norton has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Norton works over Stroker's head and body with a nice combination.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bob Stroker's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
