Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Waltteri Lahti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kivi Kasvo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lahti throws a combination that misses

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lahti looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kasvo has picked Lahti up and slammed him! Lahti can't keep hold of the triangle and Kasvo manages to pass to side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lahti working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kasvo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kasvo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kasvo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lahti. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kivi Kasvo wasn't active enough on the ground.

Kasvo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lahti is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kasvo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kasvo's back!

Lahti is persistently looking for the submission but Kasvo is defending it well.
Kasvo has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Lahti looking to break Kasvo's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Kasvo remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Lahti will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Lahti is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kasvo knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kasvo for a finish.

Well Kasvo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
