Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between STEFANO SARAI (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ezequiel Laoghaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ezequiel Laoghaire !
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SARAI shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Laoghaire sprawls well. Laoghaire wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. SARAI gets slowly back to his feet.
SARAI shoots for a double leg takedown but Laoghaire sprawls well. He's pushed SARAI's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Laoghaire scores a takedown into full mount!
SARAI wants to hold on but Laoghaire pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
SARAI manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Laoghaire wants to pass to mount but SARAI is defending the position.

Laoghaire seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

SARAI closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Laoghaire to the mat! Laoghaire manages to get full guard.
SARAI is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
SARAI has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
SARAI content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Laoghaire wants to control but SARAI passes easily into half guard.
SARAI looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
SARAI looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Laoghaire with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Laoghaire takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
SARAI landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Laoghaire tries to roll over but SARAI keeps him under control.
SARAI perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The ref stands the fighters back up because STEFANO SARAI just wasn't active enough.

SARAI will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
SARAI winds up and cracks Laoghaire with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Laoghaire wants to improve his position but SARAI is controlling well.
Laoghaire is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute SARAI jumps into side control!

SARAI shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than SARAI was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
