Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Go (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rex Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Go!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Go moves out of range of the body kick from Parker.
Parker moves into range and connects with a jab.

Go throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Parker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Go is in Parker's guard.
Go is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Parker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Go is one step ahead there.
Parker is working hard here to advance position.
Go looking to sit in guard and control but Parker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Parker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Go bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Parker's guard.
Parker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Go tries to free his leg and advance position but Parker is retaining full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Rex Parker wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
No luck for Go with that takedown attempt.

Go darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Go thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Go is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Go is just content to waste time from the top position. Parker takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Go trying to control but Parker is working from the bottom.
Parker looking for a sweep. Not yet Parker, not yet.

Go pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Parker is keeping the position for now.

Parker wants to get back to his feet but Go is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brian Go was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Go gets the takedown into side control.
Go is looking to take a break and control but Parker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Go controls the position.

Parker is trying to improve his position.
Go trying to control the action but Parker is working from the bottom.

A close round but Brian Go will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Go shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Parker as he avoids it easily.
Parker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Go.
Parker throws a series of punches but Go moves out of range.
Go doesn't manage to clinch there - Parker circles away.

Parker controls Go momentarily but Go frees himself.
Parker wants to sweep here but Go controlling him for the moment.

Parker wants to stand and escape but Go is having none of it.

Parker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Go is aware though and is defending well.
Go slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Go throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Parker tries to bench press Go off him but Go keeps the position.
The referee asks Go politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Go prefers to stall for the moment though.
Go wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parker keeps working.

Go decides to stand back up. Go steps back and let's Parker get back to his feet.

Parker pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Go back to the cage. Parker follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Rex Parker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Parker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Go shoots and misses
and Parker counters with a nice leg kick.
Rex Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Go.

Go rushes Parker and presses him up against the cage.
Parker avoiding damage as Go throws knees to the body.
Go is pressed up against the cage. Parker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Go down to the mat. Go avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rex Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Go closes the distance and clinches.

Go gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Parker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Go is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Parker blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Parker is working for takedown but Go is calmly controlling the position for now.

Parker is fighting off a takedown attempt but Go is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Parker to the mat. Parker regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Go stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Parker keeps the fight on the outside.

Go tries to clinch up.

Go fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parker sprawls well initially but Go persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Parker is not content to let Go control the position.
Go prevents Parker from improving his position.
Go is keen to just control but Parker is a slippery customer.
Go looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Go seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Parker looks like he's trying to stand up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brian Go was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Go shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Parker turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Parker throws a jab but it's blocked by Go.
Parker swats away the attempt to clinch by Go.
Go avoids the head kick by Parker.

Go closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Go's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Go showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Parker presses Go against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Parker wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Parker has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Go avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Parker has a couple of punches blocked by Go.

Parker is looking to stand up but Go isn't so interested in that idea.

Go is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Go controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brian Go was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Go takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Go shoots in looking for a takedown but Parker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Go's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Go looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Parker!

Parker wants to hold on but Go pushes him away.
Go throwing strikes but Parker recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Go passes to full mount!
Go throwing strikes here but Parker is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Parker can't escape the position.
Rex Parker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Go thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Go wants to control the pace but Parker is squirming around nicely.
A nice elbow there by Go.
Go tries to control but Parker wriggling away.
Go is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Go really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brian Go is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
Brian Go comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Go winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
