Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Escobar Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabi Qui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Escobar Franco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabi Qui! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franco looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Franco throws a half hearted mid kick. Franco tries to clinch up but Qui circles away and keeps his distance. Qui gets a clinch. Franco wants to get back to striking at distance but Qui won't allow it.
Franco misses with a hook from the clinch. Qui pulls Franco into guard.
Qui controlling the position. Franco preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Franco postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Franco has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Qui is proving hard to escape from. Franco might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Qui wants to stand up but Franco is controlling him. Qui is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Franco is looking to break free of the clinch but Qui has double underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franco can't find room to land a body shot as Qui controls the action.
Qui has Franco pushed against the cage. Qui receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Franco has Qui pressed against the cage, preventing Qui from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Qui successfully pulls guard.
Qui tries to strike from the bottom.
Qui looking for a sweep. Not yet Qui, not yet. Franco postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Franco is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Franco is fighting to break Qui's control of his arms but Qui is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Let's hope that Qui has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Franco looks for the body kick but Qui saw that one coming. A cross from Franco lands. Franco wants to clinch and Qui counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Franco misses with a double jab
and Qui counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Franco misses with a hook from the clinch. Qui manages to break the clinch.
Qui throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Franco. Franco tries to clinch so Qui counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Qui stands up and waves to Franco to follow him. Franco is breathing heavily. Franco falls off balance throwing a combination
and Qui counters by moving into the clinch. Franco wants to get back to striking at distance but Qui won't allow it.
Franco is trying to force a seperation but Qui has the dominant position. Franco fails to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Qui pulls guard successfully.
Qui has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Franco doesn't defend quickly enough and Qui has managed to lock this one up! Can Franco escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Qui on a fantastic submission victory.
