Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge VonQulik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent has chosen In The Morning-Ross Raiden & the RC as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorge VonQulik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VonQulik has his takedown stuffed
and Kent cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
VonQulik drops his hands momentarily and Kent takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
VonQulik misses with an uppercut
and Kent counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kent connects with a crisp jab.
VonQulik clobbers Kent with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


It looks like Clark Kent has been cut.
VonQulik tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kent swivels and escapes.
VonQulik throws an off balance right hand
and Kent counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kent lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Kent escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. VonQulik gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

VonQulik trying to control the position from guard on top but Kent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

VonQulik drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and VonQulik jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

VonQulik is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kent trying to keep a closed guard but VonQulik is proving a slippery customer.

Kent had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. VonQulik defends it easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
VonQulik is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

VonQulik seems to be working for a kimura but Kent defends the submission attempt.

Kent moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

VonQulik wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kent keeps working.
Kent is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of VonQulik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take VonQulik's back!
VonQulik rolls, trying to escape but Kent keeps control of the position.
VonQulik breaks Kent's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kent can't keep his opponent in guard - VonQulik advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kent fakes high and swings low for a body shot but VonQulik manages to avoid it.
Kent throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but VonQulik was well out of range. Poor timing from Kent.
Kent lands with a straight right. VonQulik didn't see that one coming.
VonQulik throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kent's waist but Kent gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing VonQulik off to one side.

and VonQulik counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kent!

Kent is looking for a sweep. VonQulik is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

VonQulik is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kent defends it well.
VonQulik moves nicely into side control.

VonQulik closes the distance and clinches up with Kent, looking for a takedown. VonQulik pushes Kent against the cage but Kent circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Clark Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
VonQulik takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

VonQulik drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Kent is looking for a triangle but VonQulik pushes his legs off easily.

I think Kent has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
