Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Viper PG Master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwight Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant has chosen Beanie (Mack B****) as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
PG Master jabs Grant right on the nose. Grant blinks but takes it well.
Grant tries to clinch up.
Grant takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Grant tries to close the distance and clinch but PG Master swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Grant closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming PG Master to the mat! PG Master manages to get full guard.

PG Master might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Grant postures up.
Grant tries to free his leg and advance position but PG Master is retaining full guard.
Grant wants to stand but PG Master has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Grant has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Grant there as he acknowledges the shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Grant manages to break the clinch.
PG Master lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by PG Master.
Sloppy strikes from Grant. Those never looked like landing.
Dwight Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

PG Master cracks a nice hook into Grant's ribs.

and PG Master counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Grant misses with a series of wild punches.
PG Master connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
PG Master moves out of range as Grant strikes.

Grant feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
PG Master wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

PG Master is looking for a triangle but Grant pushes his legs off easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

PG Master isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Grant stacks PG Master on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Grant!
PG Master can't do much from the bottom here.

Grant swings around for an armbar but PG Master sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Grant's guard.

PG Master postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Viper PG Master has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Grant looks to throw the jab but PG Master is out of range.

Grant scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Grant wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by PG Master, who protects the arm well.
PG Master gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Grant is sneakily working for an arm triangle but PG Master sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are battling for position here. PG Master manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
PG Master lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Grant!

PG Master wants to finish this one by submission but Grant is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from PG Master.
PG Master tries to control but Grant wriggling away.

PG Master looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Grant is wriggling around trying to escape.

That was a close round but I would say that Viper PG Master will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

PG Master rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grant moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

PG Master scores with a one two! Grant had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and PG Master connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Grant is rocked!
PG Master is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from PG Master shuts the power down on Grant. Lights out, game over! PG Master is your winner.
