0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raul Kinionez! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kinionez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Box looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kinionez sitting in guard, not really doing much. Kinionez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Raul Kinionez was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kinionez scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Box tries to sprawl but Kinionez drives through with a takedown into half guard. Well, if Kinionez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Kinionez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kinionez controls from within his opponent's guard. Kinionez looking to pass the guard. Kinionez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kinionez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Box pushes Kinionez off looking to stand but Kinionez dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Raul Kinionez. Kinionez punishes Box's body with a nice straight punch. Raul Kinionez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kinionez lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
A left and a right from Kinionez both land. Nice combination. Kinionez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Kinionez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kinionez. Kinionez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Box napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Box seems a little lost for a moment, as Kinionez dominates the positioning.

Kinionez has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Box is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Kinionez controls the position.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. And that's the end of the fight! Raul Kinionez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kinionez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
