Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Lanzaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lanzaro comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Superman. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freddy Lanzaro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrei James! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lanzaro closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lanzaro lands in his opponent's guard. Lanzaro slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. James avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lanzaro trying to control but James is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lanzaro postures up and lands a big shot to James's brow. James not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lanzaro is looking to work some ground and pound but James has wrist control. Lanzaro is in close to James's body, working some short punches and elbows. James controls Lanzaro momentarily but Lanzaro frees himself. Lanzaro looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lanzaro trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lanzaro stands up over James, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Lanzaro trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lanzaro drops back looking for a leg! James is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and James manages to kick Lanzaro off! Lanzaro jumps back into James's guard. James looking to sweep here. No luck so far. James preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lanzaro postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lanzaro drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and James dives on top into guard. Lanzaro wants to sweep but no luck. Lanzaro is looking to stand up but James isn't so interested in that idea. Lanzaro has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Lanzaro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lanzaro manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lanzaro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in James's guard. Lanzaro drops back, looking for a kneebar! James looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. James looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from James! Lanzaro isn't going anywhere. James wants to stand but Lanzaro is controlling his arm. Lanzaro gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James trying to control from half guard but Lanzaro is working away. Lanzaro is looking to escape. Lanzaro has one foot on James's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. A telegraphed right hand from Lanzaro misses the target. Lanzaro throws a head kick that misses letting James counter with a right hand. Lanzaro is breathing heavily. Lanzaro has a takedown stuffed. Lanzaro scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Freddy Lanzaro dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
James fails with the takedown and Lanzaro counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lanzaro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. James is trying to get back to full guard. James is refusing to be controlled, as Lanzaro sits in half guard. Lanzaro prevents James from improving his position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lanzaro scoring with strikes to the body and head. Lanzaro throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lanzaro wants to pass the guard but James is defending well. James is breathing heavily. Lanzaro thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. James is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lanzaro scores with a couple of nice shots. James trying to control from the bottom.
James tries to roll over but Lanzaro keeps him under control. Lanzaro is nestled in close to James, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Lanzaro slips a nice elbow through James's hands, connecting with James's forehead. James is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lanzaro scores with a couple of nice shots. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lanzaro working the head and body with strikes. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lanzaro lands a nice short elbow. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lanzaro in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Lanzaro there. Lanzaro controlling the action here. Lanzaro is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Lanzaro looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks James with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lanzaro moves nicely into side control. Freddy Lanzaro overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lanzaro controlling from side mount. Lanzaro scores with a couple of short elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lanzaro working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lanzaro scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at James to see if he's OK. James is looking for a sweep. Lanzaro in side control lands a decent elbow. James takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's four minutes gone in the round. James takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Lanzaro works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Lanzaro lands a decent elbow from side control. Lanzaro stands up. Lanzaro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Lanzaro content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lanzaro seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. James is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
