Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rene Descartes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Smart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smart has chosen Billy Talent - Red Flag as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Smart! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smart fails with an attempt to clinch.
Descartes shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Descartes thows a huge punch but Smart dodges it nicely.
Descartes is looking to advance position but Smart won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smart wants to get back to his feet.
