Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pile Driver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Driver has chosen my way as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Pile Driver!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Driver tries to clinch up.

Driver looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Driver got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stevens has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Driver has managed to get both his arms back between Stevens's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Driver stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stevens swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stevens keeping moving, preventing Driver from controlling successfully.
Stevens wants to sweep but no luck.

Driver lands a couple of digs.
Driver cracks Stevens with a solid left hand.
Stevens is looking to stand up but Driver isn't so interested in that idea.
Driver keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stevens's head.
Driver connects with a couple of short punches.
Driver throwing strikes but missing.
Driver advances to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nice strikes from Driver there.
Driver not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Driver has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Driver looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Stevens taking some punishment here, with Driver in his half guard.
Driver stalling away here and it's allowed Stevens to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Stevens is breathing heavily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Driver connects with a nice short shot to Stevens's temple.
Driver thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Stevens is looking for a sweep. Driver is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Driver wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stevens keeps working.
Driver is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Driver lands strikes from half guard.
Driver works his foot free and advances to mount.
Stevens taking shots to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Driver looking to secure an arm triangle but Stevens defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pile Driver dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Driver throws a nice looking combination but Stevens bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Oh Stevens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Driver tries to close the distance and clinch but Stevens swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stevens seems to have got his legs back now.
Stevens throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Driver moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Driver walks away with a smile on his face. Stevens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Stevens lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Driver with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevens gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Driver.

Stevens pushes Driver up against the cage in a clinch.
Stevens takes an elbow to the temple.
Driver scores with a shoulder strike.
Driver lands a hook that snaps the head of Stevens backwards.
Driver lands a body punch in the clinch.

Driver successfully pulls guard.

Driver has his feet on Stevens's thighs here. He's pushed Stevens off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Stevens screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Pile Driver!
