The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azeredo tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Garcia counter with a right hand.
Azeredo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garcia manages to avoid it.
Azeredo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Azeredo closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Garcia to counter with a crisp jab.
Luiz Azeredo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Azeredo throws a right hand that Garcia ducks under and follows up with a left that Garcia also avoids with ease.

Luiz Azeredo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Garcia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Garcia seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Garcia trying to control the action but Azeredo is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garcia takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Azeredo scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Garcia manages to mount him!
Garcia has control of Azeredo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Azeredo regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Garcia is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Azeredo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Azeredo squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Garcia throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Azeredo because Garcia loaded up on that one.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Azeredo is trying to stand back up.
Garcia is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Azeredo is defending well though. Garcia let's go of the attempt for now.

and Garcia counters with a single leg into guard. Azeredo didn't expect that.
Garcia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Garcia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garcia drops back looking for a leg! Azeredo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Azeredo manages to kick Garcia off! Garcia jumps back into Azeredo's guard.
Garcia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Garcia seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Garcia wants to control from the top but Azeredo keeps moving.
Azeredo is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Garcia has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - Azeredo taps out instantly and this one is all over!
