Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Munios!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Monson wants to control from the top but Munios keeps moving.
Munios really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Monson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Monson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Munios's guard.
Munios is not content to let Monson control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Munios can do anything to dispel that myth.
Monson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Munios!
Monson is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Munios is desperately trying to improve his position but Monson has a good base and remains in mount.
Monson content just to control the position here.
Munios can't escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Monson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Munios turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Monson off and cradles Munios's limp body as Monson celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Jason Monson!
