Boy has chosen Johnny Boy - It's Johnny Boy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Dwayne Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonny Boy!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Perry misses with a right hand
and Boy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Boy scores with a nice head shot.


It looks like Dwayne Perry has been cut.

Boy throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Perry tumbling to the canvas!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boy tries to free his leg and advance position but Perry is retaining full guard.
Perry looking for a sweep. Not yet Perry, not yet.
Boy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jonny Boy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Perry throws a nice looking combination but Boy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Perry misses with a body punch
and Boy counters with a nice body kick.
Perry is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Boy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Perry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Perry gets caught flat footed, as Boy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Boy wants to control from the top but Perry keeps moving.
Boy content to stall in guard here.
Perry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jonny Boy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Boy clinches with his opponent.
Perry can't find room to land a body shot as Boy controls the action.
Perry tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Boy's elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Perry goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A head punch on the inside from Perry fails to land.
Knees in the clinch landing for Boy.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boy lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Perry backwards.

Boy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Perry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boy and Perry are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Boy throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Perry into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Boy knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jonny Boy!
