Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Polk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Polk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Jackson! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Polk. Polk circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A head kick misses from Jackson. Jackson throws a leg kick and Polk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Alex Jackson has been cut. Polk closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jackson quickly recovers to half guard. Jackson tries to get to full guard but Polk has control of the leg. Jackson wants to control but Polk is keeping busy and won't allow it. Polk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Polk thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head. Polk stalling away here and it's allowed Jackson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Polk sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Polk throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Polk throws a strike but Jackson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jackson preventing the sweep. Jackson wants to control from the top but Polk keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Polk wants to hit a switch here but Jackson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Polk there! Polk can't escape the position.
Polk wants to hold on but Jackson pushes him away. Jackson lands a big elbow. Jackson looking to control but Polk is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson prevents Polk from getting the reversal. Poor strikes thrown by Jackson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Jackson looking to finish Polk with some ground and pound. This is bad for Polk! Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jackson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Polk looks a forlorn figure.
Polk is rocked! Jackson controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson manages to capitalize on a mistake by Polk to take his back! Jackson has the hooks in. Polk is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Polk is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Polk trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Jackson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Alex Jackson's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jackson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Polk. That did some damage! Jackson lands a head kick!
Jackson connects with a solid leg kick. Polk tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it. Polk throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Jackson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Polk misses with a straight right. Polk on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jackson swings for the body but Polk moves out of range.
Polk scores with a jab to the body. Jackson blocks a jab. Polk misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Polk throws a right and a left that Jackson avoids nicely. Polk misses with a hook
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson misses with a body kick. Jackson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Polk momentarily.
Polk misses with an uppercut
and Jackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jackson gets off balance looking for a body kick enabling Polk to counter with a crisp jab. Jackson misses with a wild body shot. Polk throws a lazy uppercut
and Jackson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Oh Polk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Polk takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jackson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Polk at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Polk to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Polk looks to clinch but Jackson throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Polk taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
