Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Krauss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Assis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Michael Krauss has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Michael Krauss seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Krauss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimbo Assis! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Assis moves into the clinch successfully.
Assis gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Michael Krauss has been cut. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Assis. Assis gets underhooks to prevent Krauss's takedown attempt.
Krauss lands a takedown into guard.
Assis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Krauss is one step ahead there. Krauss trying to control the position from guard on top but Assis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Assis keeping full guard, as Krauss tries to pass. Assis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Assis looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Krauss passes into half guard.
Assis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Krauss is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Assis moves into full guard.
Krauss is looking to work some ground and pound but Assis has wrist control. Krauss slips nicely into half guard. Assis makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Assis. Assis is trying to keep Krauss in close.
Krauss slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Assis. Krauss landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Krauss thows a huge punch but Assis dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Krauss connects with a nice short shot to Assis's temple. Assis won't allow Krauss to pass to mount. Krauss trying to work for an americana but Assis has managed to regain full guard.
Krauss postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Assis keeping full guard, as Krauss tries to pass. Krauss trying to control the position from guard on top but Assis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Assis throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Krauss throws a strike but Assis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Assis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krauss trying to control the position.
Assis wants to stand but Krauss has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Krauss is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Krauss wants to sweep here but Assis controlling him for the moment. Assis trying to control the position from guard on top but Krauss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Krauss doesn't succeed with the takedown and Assis counters by moving into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Krauss fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Krauss. That's going to take a lot out of him. Assis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Krauss with a poor takedown and Assis moves into the clinch. Krauss is breathing heavily. Krauss drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Assis gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Assis pulls guard effortlessly. Assis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krauss working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Krauss in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Assis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kimbo Assis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Michael Krauss's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Krauss keeps the fight on the outside. Assis wants to clinch and Krauss counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Assis's guard now. Krauss preventing the sweep. Krauss is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Assis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Krauss defends well. Assis wants to sweep here but Krauss controlling him for the moment. Krauss loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Krauss wants to control from the top but Assis keeps moving. Assis has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Krauss off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krauss closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Assis to the mat! Assis manages to get full guard. Krauss wants to control from the top but Assis keeps moving. Krauss is looking to advance position but Assis has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Assis landing punches. Michael Krauss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Krauss is in all sorts of trouble here.
Assis lands a big shot there that rocks Krauss but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Krauss is looking to get to half guard. The referee warns Krauss that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Krauss tries to hold on but Assis postures up. Assis looking to control but Krauss is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The referee warns Krauss that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Assis landing punches. Krauss keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Krauss is bucking up trying to escape but Assis cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Assis working away from the top, dropping strikes. Assis landing shots from mount. Assis sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Assis lands a nice shot to the head. Assis landing strikes from the mount and Krauss is in trouble! Krauss tries to hold on but Assis pushes him away. Assis looking to secure an arm triangle but Krauss defends it well. Assis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Assis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Assis lands a heavy elbow. Krauss tries to lock up and control but Assis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Assis with a couple of short strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Assis landing strikes from the mount and Krauss is in trouble! Krauss wants to control but Assis is having none of it. Assis controlling the pace for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Krauss wants to hold on but Assis pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kimbo Assis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Michael Krauss's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Assis is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Krauss shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Assis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Knees to the body from Assis.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kimbo Assis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Assis wants to clinch up but Krauss keeps it at a distance. Assis rushes Krauss and presses him up against the cage. Assis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Krauss moves forwards but Assis connects with a nice, crisp jab. Krauss has his takedown stuffed and Assis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krauss is not content to let Assis control the position. Assis works his way into full mount! Assis controlling his opponent. Kimbo Assis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Krauss tries to buck Assis off but he can't manage it. Krauss wants to hold on but Assis pushes him away. Assis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Krauss tries to get back to half guard but can't. Assis avoids the attempt from Krauss to control. Assis with shots to the head and body - Krauss looks very uncomfortable down there. Assis controlling the pace for now. Assis looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Assis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Michael Krauss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Assis controlling from the full mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Kimbo Assis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Assis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
