Edgar has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Shamil Aberhamov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aberhamov doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Edgar counters with a nice uppercut.
Edgar is breathing heavily.
Aberhamov with a lazy takedown attempt
and Edgar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Aberhamov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Edgar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Frankie Edgar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shamil Aberhamov.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aberhamov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Aberhamov scores with a head kick.

Aberhamov lands a big head kick that sends Edgar tumbling to the mat! Aberhamov takes a step backwards and waves Edgar back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Edgar is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Aberhamov closes the distance and clinches.
Oh Edgar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Edgar can't break the clinch.
Edgar seems to have got his legs back now.

Aberhamov breaks the clinch.
Aberhamov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Edgar as he avoids it easily.
Edgar finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Aberhamov's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Edgar falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
