Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Timer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Timer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rashawn Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Timer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Timer circles away.
Jackson wants to clinch up but Timer keeps it at a distance.
Timer shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well.
Jackson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Timer. That did some damage!
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Timer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Timer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice sprawl there from Timer as Jackson shoots in.
Jackson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Timer stuffs the takedown.
Timer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.
Jackson throws a leg kick but Timer sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Jackson throws out a loose jab but Timer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Timer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.
Jackson looks to land a combination but Timer avoids it well.

and Jackson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Timer's guard now.
Timer is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Timer's guard.

Timer throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Timer, up you get!

Timer forces Jackson back against the cage and clinches.

Timer pulls guard.

Timer working for a triangle but Jackson defends it easily.
Timer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

Timer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Timer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Jackson tries to keep at a distance but Timer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jackson wants to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson tries to land knees in the clinch but Timer avoids the damage to the body.

Timer breaks from the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Timer.
Some wild striking there from Jackson.

Timer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jackson, pushing him back against the cage.

Timer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Jackson wants to clinch but Timer slips to the side

and Timer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Timer decides to stand back up. Timer steps back and let's Jackson get back to his feet.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick
and Timer counters with a two punch combo.

Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jackson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Timer to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jackson rushes Timer and presses him up against the cage.

Timer manages to break the clinch.
Jackson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Timer fails to land the takedown.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Timer moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Timer or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Timer avoids them all with ease.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Timer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Timer goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jackson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Timer but great work by Jackson.
Timer tries to buck Jackson off but Jackson is having none of it.
Timer is working hard here to advance position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Timer will probably get the nod.

Timer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jackson swinging wilding here.
Jackson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Timer counters with a one-two to the body.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Timer tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Timer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Timer can't fight it off and eventually Jackson manages to take the fight to the floor. Timer looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jackson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jackson closes the distance but Timer moves to the side
enabling Timer to counter with a crisp jab.
Timer throws a wild body kick that Jackson sees coming a mile off.
Jackson misses with a hook.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Timer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jackson tries to clinch up
and Timer counters with a good low kick that Jackson was not able to check.
Jackson looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jackson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

and Timer counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Timer suckers Jackson into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Timer is now in Jackson's guard!

Timer shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Timer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Timer tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard.

Jackson wants to sweep here but Timer controlling him for the moment.

Jackson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Timer off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Timer seems to be working for a kimura but Jackson defends the submission attempt.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Timer will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Jackson feints and then cracks Timer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Timer down.
No luck for Timer with that takedown attempt.

Timer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Timer stands up and waves to Jackson to follow him.

It looks like Rashawn Jackson has been cut.
Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Timer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Timer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jackson cracks Timer with a nice body shot.

Jackson successfully pulls guard.
Jackson wants to sweep but no luck.
Timer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

John Timer showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Timer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
