The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cohen tries to close the distance and clinch but Bernie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bernie thows a leg kick but Cohen checks it
and Cohen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cohen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bernie wants to improve his position but Cohen is controlling well.
Cohen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Cohen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Bernie is looking for a sweep. Cohen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bernie trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Bernie is looking to improve his position but Cohen isn't that keen on the idea.
Cohen is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Cohen extends the arm and Bernie is forced to tap!
