Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genival Lacerda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Silva's choice of entrance music: Desabafo - Marcelo D2. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacerda fails with the takedown
enabling Silva to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Genival Lacerda has been cut.
Lacerda dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Silva throws a jab but it's blocked by Lacerda.

Lacerda cracks Silva with a big right hand but Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lacerda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
You can see the frustration on Silva's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Silva pushes Lacerda away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lacerda gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Silva is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lacerda has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Lacerda shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lacerda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

I would just about give that final round to Jon Silva.
