And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Igor Sergeevich!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sergeevich throws the kick towards the body but Payaso avoids it.

Payaso decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sergeevich is trying to get back to full guard.

Sergeevich throws a right hand that Payaso ducks under and follows up with a left that Payaso also avoids with ease.
Sergeevich tries for a takedown but Payaso circles away easily

and Payaso counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sergeevich!
Payaso looking to control and managing it successfully.

Sergeevich wants to try and get back to his feet.
Sergeevich can't escape the position.
Payaso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sergeevich on the ground.

Payaso changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sergeevich looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sergeevich tries for a takedown but Payaso circles away easily

Payaso decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sergeevich, up you get!

Payaso is taking a breather. Sergeevich says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Payaso closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sergeevich to the mat! Sergeevich manages to get full guard.
Payaso slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sergeevich tries to improve position but can't.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sergeevich tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Payaso has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Igor Sergeevich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Payaso closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sergeevich wants to get back to his feet but Payaso drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Payaso counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sergeevich's guard now.
Deshawn Payaso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Sergeevich.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Payaso tries to stand but Sergeevich is controlling from the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sergeevich is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Payaso dives into side control.

Well Payaso has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
