Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Dorea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Tyler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Dorea! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dorea shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Dorea trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dorea sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tyler's guard. Dorea missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Dorea is keen to just control but Tyler is a slippery customer. Dorea decides to stand and escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorea takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tyler misses with a head kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Tyler. Dorea shrugs it off though. Dorea tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tyler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dorea somewhat. Tyler throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Tyler misses with an attempted mid kick.
Tyler throws the kick towards the body but Dorea avoids it. Dorea fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tyler avoids it really well and circles away. Tyler fakes the leg kick and cracks Dorea in the body. Tyler throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Dorea clinches up with Tyler and pushes him back against the cage. Tyler tries to break the clinch but Dorea is controlling the position. Dorea wants a takedown.
Jake Tyler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Dorea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dorea prevents Tyler from breaking the clinch. Tyler is trying to break the clinch but Dorea is controlling him. Tyler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dorea blocks a head kick by Tyler.
Dorea clinches up against the cage. Tyler can't break the clinch.
Tyler is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Tyler has had enough of the clinch but Dorea keeps him there for the moment. Tyler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tyler throws a head kick that misses. Tyler throws a head kick that misses and Dorea counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dorea is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tyler is just riding it out for now. Dorea eventually gives up the hold. Dorea wants to free his trapped foot but Tyler is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyler pushes Dorea off looking to stand but Dorea dives back in and keeps control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dorea is trying to control the action in half guard but Tyler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Tyler is breathing heavily. Dorea works his way into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dorea landing strikes, looking to finish! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodrigo Dorea dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Dorea throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Dorea shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tyler napping and manages to drive through into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A lull in the action here as Dorea stalls from top position. Tyler taking punishment in the form of punches.
Dorea in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorea is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tyler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dorea moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dorea trying to control the action but Tyler is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Tyler's face as Dorea controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyler taking punishment in the form of punches.
Dorea scores with punches from side control. Dorea is looking to take a break and control but Tyler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rodrigo Dorea wasn't active enough on the ground. A head kick misses from Tyler. Jake Tyler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dorea shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tyler as he avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dorea shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tyler's guard. Dorea showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dorea postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Dorea passes into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodrigo Dorea showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Dorea shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tyler but Tyler pushes him off and we're back to square one. A momentary lapse in concentration from Tyler enables Dorea to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tyler manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Dorea is looking to work some ground and pound but Tyler has wrist control. Dorea stands and throws Tyler's legs to the side, diving into side control. Tyler is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dorea connects with a decent elbow. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorea moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Dorea is chipping away with strikes.
A lull in the action here as Dorea stalls from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dorea working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Dorea trying to control the action but Tyler is working from the bottom. Rodrigo Dorea is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dorea remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Rodrigo Dorea hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Dorea darts in and clinches Tyler up against the cage. Dorea is working for takedown but Tyler is calmly controlling the position for now. Tyler is trying to force a seperation but Dorea has the dominant position. Tyler prevents the takedown attempt.
Jake Tyler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Dorea. Dorea is stalling here.
Dorea has clasped his hands together around Tyler's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Dorea controlling the position from side mount. Dorea's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that's the end of the fight! Rodrigo Dorea comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Dorea winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
