Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ken Kaniff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Kearney!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kearney dodges the punch combination from Kaniff.
Kaniff misses with a head kick.
Kearney misses with a series of wild punches.
Kaniff misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A combination from Kaniff does no damage.
Kaniff scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


It looks like Chris Kearney has been cut.
Kaniff fails with the takedown.
Kaniff throws a looping overhand right but Kearney ducks down to avoid it.
Kaniff tries to bum rush Kearney with a series of wild strikes but Kearney uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kearney throws a leg kick which misses Kaniff's front leg but catches the back leg as Kaniff tries to avoid it.
Kaniff misses with a double jab
and Kearney counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kaniff is lucky that one didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Kearney circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kearney counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kaniff's knee momentarily.
Kaniff misses the body punch
and Kearney counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kaniff is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kaniff misses with a combination
and Kearney counters with an outside leg kick.
Kearney moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kearney lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kaniff will feel that in the morning.

Kearney gets caught flat footed, as Kaniff shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kaniff sitting in guard here, content to control.
Kearney wants to get back to his feet but Kaniff is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kaniff gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kearney throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kearney buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kaniff misses with a takedown
and Kearney makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kearney keeps Kaniff at a distance using the push kick.
Kearney avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ken Kaniff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kearney lands a high kick!
Kaniff misses with a double jab
and Kearney counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Kaniff misses with a double jab
and Kearney counters with a two punch combo.
Crunch! Kearney slams his shin into Kaniff's torso.
Kaniff ducks right into an uppercut from Kearney.
Kearney lands a head kick. Kaniff smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Kaniff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Kaniff. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kaniff avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kaniff throws a leg kick
and Kearney counters with a big head kick but Kaniff shrugs it off.
Kaniff swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kearney connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Kaniff is rocked!
Kaniff misses the body punch
and Kearney makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kaniff really felt that one!
Kearney cracks Kaniff with a right hand to the side of the head.
Oh Kaniff is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kearney swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kaniff seems to have got his legs back now.
Kaniff misses with a double jab
and Kearney counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Kearney throws the kick towards the body but Kaniff avoids it.
Chris Kearney is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kaniff takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kaniff lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Kearney falls backwards - clearly groggy! Kaniff dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
