Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a series of punches but Hernandez moves out of range.
Hernandez moves away from the strike by Johnson.
Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Hernandez counter with a right hand.
Johnson misses with a double jab
and Hernandez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hernandez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hernandez showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hernandez stalling.
Johnson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hernandez.

Johnson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hernandez.
Hernandez is just content to waste time from the top position. Johnson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Hernandez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get!
Johnson tries to bum rush Hernandez with a series of wild strikes but Hernandez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Johnson misses with a combination
so Hernandez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hernandez wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
Hernandez is looking to advance position but Johnson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Johnson fails to take his opponent's back.
Johnson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hernandez has worked his arm free - good work by Hernandez!
Hernandez tries to improve position but can't.
Johnson tries for a kimura but Hernandez is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Hernandez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hernandez has escaped the position, nice work there.

Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hernandez is pushing Johnson's head away, looking to escape. Johnson manages to hold on to the position though.
Hernandez is trying to improve his position.
Johnson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hernandez, who protects the arm well.
Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Johnson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hernandez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Johnson has hold of Hernandez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hernandez seems comfortable defending it but Johnson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hernandez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hernandez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Johnson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
