Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rufus McGrufus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by You are the best around. Rufus McGrufus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Rufus McGrufus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrei Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McGrufus. McGrufus takes one on the button. McGrufus throws a nice looking combination but Emelianenko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Emelianenko throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A head kick misses from McGrufus. McGrufus attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Emelianenko. Emelianenko darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. McGrufus is looking for a sweep. Emelianenko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. McGrufus has hold of Emelianenko's hands but Emelianenko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Emelianenko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko is trying to work for a kimura but McGrufus is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGrufus blocking the ground and pound attempt from Emelianenko. Emelianenko is looking to advance position but McGrufus won't allow it. Emelianenko is looking for a kimura here.
Emelianenko wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGrufus keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Emelianenko takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Emelianenko is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McGrufus defends it well. McGrufus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Emelianenko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGrufus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Emelianenko lands strikes from half guard. Emelianenko trying to control the action but McGrufus is working from the bottom. Emelianenko throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko stalling. Emelianenko is looking for a kimura but McGrufus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Emelianenko to get the leverage. Emelianenko sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McGrufus defending well though. Emelianenko trying to control the action but McGrufus is working from the bottom. Emelianenko throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Emelianenko throwing shots but McGrufus is blocking nicely. Emelianenko thows a huge punch but McGrufus dodges it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Emelianenko working the head and body with strikes. Emelianenko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McGrufus is just riding it out for now. Emelianenko eventually gives up the hold. Emelianenko controlling the action here. Emelianenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McGrufus doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Emelianenko. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Emelianenko dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A head kick misses from Emelianenko. Emelianenko dives in and grabs McGrufus's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGrufus pushes down on Emelianenko's head and hops out. McGrufus throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGrufus misses with a low kick as Emelianenko jumps back. McGrufus throws a sloppy head kick and Emelianenko counters with a nice body kick.
A shot to the liver by Emelianenko. Beautiful body shot. McGrufus throws a hook but Emelianenko avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGrufus works Emelianenko's body with a nice hook. McGrufus misses with a leg kick and Emelianenko counters with an inside leg kick. Emelianenko throws the left hand but McGrufus avoids the punch easily. Emelianenko looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A low kick from McGrufus misses and Emelianenko makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. McGrufus really felt that one! McGrufus walks into a stiff left hand from Emelianenko. A head kick by Emelianenko misses and McGrufus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Andrei Emelianenko has been cut. A low kick from McGrufus misses and Emelianenko makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Emelianenko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and McGrufus counters with a flying knee. Nice. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGrufus misses with a leg kick and Emelianenko counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko works McGrufus's body with a nice hook. McGrufus misses with a kick to the body and McGrufus takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McGrufus throws a lazy head kick and Emelianenko counters with a nice body kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A left lands for Emelianenko. McGrufus misses with a leg kick and Emelianenko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Emelianenko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Emelianenko landing strikes, looking to finish! Emelianenko looking to finish with strikes here!
McGrufus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McGrufus tries to get out of the position. Emelianenko trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko looking to finish McGrufus with some ground and pound. This is bad for McGrufus! Emelianenko jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McGrufus manages to avoid the submission attempt. A lull in the action here. McGrufus tries to buck Emelianenko off but Emelianenko is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko misses with an attempted head punch from side control. McGrufus prevents Emelianenko from improving position. Emelianenko in side control, throwing shots but McGrufus defends. Emelianenko in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. McGrufus parries the strikes from Emelianenko easily there. Emelianenko is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable McGrufus to escape.
Emelianenko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McGrufus has escaped the position, nice work there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Emelianenko in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Emelianenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Andrei Emelianenko's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
McGrufus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Emelianenko. Emelianenko misses with a kick to the body and McGrufus counters with a leg kick. Emelianenko is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. McGrufus pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McGrufus takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
McGrufus throws a leg kick that is checked letting Emelianenko counter with a right hand. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McGrufus crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Emelianenko - the referee stops the clock and McGrufus gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Emelianenko. McGrufus manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. McGrufus tries a head kick but it misses.
Emelianenko connects with a crisp jab. Andrei Emelianenko seems to be getting the better of the standup. Emelianenko blocks a low kick nicely. Emelianenko shoots in and drives through. McGrufus sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko works the jab nicely. McGrufus will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

McGrufus throws a lazy uppercut
letting Emelianenko counter with a right hand. A solid leg kick lands there for McGrufus.
A low kick from McGrufus is predictable there and Emelianenko counters with a lovely shot to the body. Emelianenko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McGrufus attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Emelianenko misses with a body kick. McGrufus throws a head kick that misses and Emelianenko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Emelianenko cracks the inside of McGrufus's front leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A leg kick checked by McGrufus. McGrufus gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. McGrufus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A kick lands to the mid section there for McGrufus. Emelianenko does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. McGrufus misses with a head kick.
Emelianenko tries to land a front kick but McGrufus steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. McGrufus finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
McGrufus throws a head kick that misses and Emelianenko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. McGrufus throws a lazy head kick and Emelianenko counters with a nice double leg into side control. McGrufus won't be happy with that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko looking to punish the body of his opponent here but McGrufus is avoiding damage well.
Emelianenko postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Emelianenko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Emelianenko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! You can see the frustration on McGrufus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. McGrufus prevents Emelianenko from moving into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Emelianenko wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McGrufus, who protects the arm well. McGrufus is not content to let Emelianenko control the position. Rufus McGrufus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andrei Emelianenko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Emelianenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Emelianenko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrei Emelianenko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Emelianenko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
